Warning

My MIDI files were designed to sound fittingly with a Sound Blaster AWE32 1 sound card (General Midi Standard configuration for Creative Advanced Wave Effects Synthesis instruments): don't expect perfect (or sometimes even just good) results with a different hardware or a different configuration !
For slightly better instrumental sounds, you may try and use the sound fonts provided hereafter (samples and font design by myself) or in some cases (singled out with a * in the Sound Font column) the excellent and free Aegean Symphonic Orchestra Soundfont (just extract and use the .sf2 file present in the archive).

About the composer

I have been taught musical theory (and the piano) at the Conservatoire municipal de Paris XIIIème for more than 11 years since I was seven. My musical studies included classical harmony and counterpoint but neither composition nor orchestration, which I tried and learnt in books (especially professor Walter Piston's).
